New CHE initiatives in Cuba, Haiti and Dominican Republic

Urban CHE initiative in Peru

The EDEN Project - Effective Development for Empowering the Nation was established and put into effect in Papua New Guinea. This project suports a national trainer for wholistic health care. As a member of the Church Medical Council, all provinces in PNG will have CHE material available to implement preventative health care programs.

Intensive training for the prevention of HIV/AIDS is held for High School teachers and Pastors.

Capacity Building and Administrative courses are conducted for church leaders and Pastors.

Outcomes of MACA's activities during 2008

New CHE initiatives started in Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Argentina. Intensive training fro new partners was accomplished in Nicaragua and Papua New Guinea.

MACA conducted ongoing training and support in regions with established CHE programs. Intensive training for HIV/AIDS prevention was conducted with local pastors and in schools in many countries.

Relationships were built with donors and partners in countries throughout the world.
